I Found You

I found you last night
You were warm
I could feel your heart race
When we embraced
I could smell you
The scent of a million flowers
It was heaven’s scent
We kissed
The longest deepest kiss
We held each other so close
We became one
Our bodies joined
We made love
In the air
Then you were gone
I woke up
But I could still feel you deep in my heart.

Word Association

I took a test…it wasn’t graded
It was called word association
The Psychiatrist said it’s easy to do
We’ll figure out what’s ailing you

He gave me a word and told me to say
Another word without a delay
His words they came fast and furious
You’d think that I’d become delirious

He stopped for a moment and took a deep breath
And asked me if I understood the test
It seemed to me it was easy to do
Because my answers were always true

When he was done he picked up his pen
And wrote on some papers once again
He shook his head and said he knew
I was just CRAZY……..over you!!!

Chemistry

My father once told me when I was young
A good education will make you someone
He told me to study and work real hard
And gave me a hug when he saw my report card

I took English, Science and Chemistry too
Little did I know it would affect me and you
They never prepared me for that fateful day
When the one I loved would come out and say

The chemistry between us it’s just not the same
I don’t know how it happened…then called me by name
I wish I could tell you I would if I could
The blow to my heart I barely withstood

I told her to stop… I didn’t want to know
Please let me recover from this heavy blow
The chemistry between us I thought it was good
Then something happened I never understood

The lab I had we mixed up a potion
We did it with care and took every precaution
How the mixture could change I didn’t know
Everything seemed the same just a day ago

I took a beaker and poured in some love
Added some flowers from heaven above
I asked God to help the chemistry grow
And bring back the love we use to know

Follow Your Heart

Just follow your heart and you’ll see
No one can love you as much as me
I know to some it only a word
If they could feel what I feel… they would know that’s absurd

I searched and searched for the meaning of love
I’ve come to the conclusion it’s from heaven above
For nothing on earth could evoke such emotion
It’s was given to us… it’s the Lord’s love potion

It’s stronger than me…It’s stronger than you
It will live in your heart there’s nothing you can do
Some feelings may pass… some feelings may last
But you’ll never forget why it’s in the past

I gave you my heart…I gave you my soul
I’ll give you my tears that continue to flow
I know you question how this can be
Just give me a chance and you will see

Empty Room

To my love while where’re apart
I wake up nightly in the dark
I reach to find you… but you’re not there
Your beautiful smell has left the air

Now my room is dark and lonely
I start to cry for my one and only
I close my eyes to see your face
Then back to sleep with no embrace

My dreams are vivid and colorful too
The things they lack are me with you
And In the morning when I wake
That’s when my heart... begins to ache

An empty bed is where I am
Then the tears they fall again
I look at your pillow… without a wrinkle
No lovely face with eyes that twinkle

To see your face…and then embrace
Is something that will never be replaced
And now that our love has truely ended
I pray my heart…will soon be mended

The Wish

I’ll ask you to do this and I’ll make a wish
That you’ll feel the same feelings you did when we kissed
Remember the first when you came to visit
Then the last… do you think you’ll miss it ?

Remember our mornings we spent at the beach
And how I held you when we laid down to sleep
Remember walking and holding hands in the rain
And how our steps were exactly the same

Remember us joking and fooling around
When you were on top holding me down
Remember the mornings we woke up together
It’s where I want to be now and forever

Then remember our embrace and our last kiss
Now I’ll ask you to make just one last wish
Please wish for the day when I’ll see you again
And I’ll wish for us to be more than friends
